Call for Nominations to the PMI Jamaica Chapter Board

Positions Open for Nomination

The following positions on the Board of the PMI Jamaica Chapter, each with a tenure of 2 years, are now open for nominations:-

  • Board Secretary
  • Vice President of Finance
  • Vice President of Volunteers
  • Vice President of Governance
  • Vice President of Professional Development

 

The board members in the roles listed below will continue to serve on the Board for the remainder of their tenures.

  • President
  • President Elect
  • Vice President of Membership
  • Vice President of Marketing

 

Election Schedule

Nominations will open on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 and close on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  In order to vote or be nominated, you must be a member of the Chapter in good standing. Voting shall be electronic, facilitated by PMI GOC, and will begin on Saturday, February 11, 2017, and end Friday, February 17, 2017. The newly elected members of the Board shall be announced on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

 

Nomination Process

To offer yourself for service through leadership on the Chapter's Board, you will need to complete the four documents that will be available when Nominations open by emailing the Nominations Committee at nominations@pmijamaica.org or from the Nomination Section of the Chapter website http://www.pmijamaica.org. These documents have been designed to properly inform members of the significant responsibility of volunteer leadership and to increase the quality of governance available to the Chapter. In addition, please submit a short biography, CV, and a high resolution portrait picture of yourself, for sharing with members.

 

Photos should be a half shot in professional attire.

The biography should be written in the third person and should be 200 - 250 words. It should highlight the candidate's educational background, his/her experiences relevant to project management, as well as the proposed position for candidacy, involvement in the local Chapter and general interests.

CVs should be 2 - 3 pages.

You will need two Chapter members in good standing to complete the Nomination Form with you.

Please complete them and return them by email to nominations@pmijamaica.org or to the Chapter Secretariat at PMI Jamaica Chapter, Mona Technology Park, The University of the West Indies, Mona, Kingston 7, Jamaica.
