BUSINESS ANALYST (CONTRACT)

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for managing the Requirements Life Cycle by working effectively with end users and subjectmatter experts (SMEs) to discover, elicit, define, analyze and document the business requirements (functional and non-functional), business rules, process designs and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to manage the requirements life cycle from elicitation, straight through to leading the quality assurance activities and supporting the subsequent systems and process deployment.
  • Able to effectively articulate captured requirements using a variety of methods (e.g. workshops, context diagrams, use cases, flow charts, story boards, customer journey maps etc.) as required to gain approval and sign off.
  • Plays a lead role in technical discussions surrounding the design of the product, process or system.
  • Frequently liaising with technical resources to ensure that the business requirements are adequately delivered through the new or upgraded system or process.
  • Facilitate Issue Resolution and business decision process by providing documentation such as impactanalysis, problem definition, solutions available to the users.
  • Complete and ensure that all the relevant quality assurance outputs are delivered such as test or usecases, test plans and test schedules.
  • Takes the lead role in managing the testing team while they execute the various test cases as required.(i.e. Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Maintains Issues Log (categorized and ranked in priority) and ensure daily bug reporting.
  • Contribute to the training preparation and training material (as required) to ensure the learning objectives are adequately met.

What should you possess?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, Finance or Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the area of Business Analysis.
  • Business Analysis certification and formal training in Business Analysis is required.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience leading quality assurance and user acceptance testing, wherein the ISTQB CTFL certification would be an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (such as Excel, Visio, Projects, PowerPoint) and good knowledge of Microsoft Azure – DevOps.
  • Exposure to Customer Journey mapping and an understanding of the importance of an enjoyable customer and end -user experience.
  • Highly proficient in verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Project management training would be an asset – awareness of the various project roles and how project teams work together to deliver on the project’s goals and objectives.
