Independent Consultant/ Mid-level Renewable Energy Professional
Deputy Coordinator, Jamaica Energy Resilience Alliance
CADMUS seeks a highly motivated, high-performing, Kingston-based mid-level renewable energy/energy in development professional to be a key member of the team implementing “Strengthening Energy Sector Resilience in Jamaica,” a new project of USAID/Jamaica and the Jamaica Energy Resilience Alliance (JERA) of which Cadmus is the lead member.
Responsibilities: –
Serve as a PV/PV+ subject matter expert
– Regulatory characterization and analysis, particularly regarding barriers and incentives to PV/PV+ adoption.
– Development of targeted recommendations and resources for energy customers, financers, and installers to address these barriers and leverage these incentives.
Support project quality and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL)
– Data collection, analysis and presentation in appropriate reporting formats.
– Support to reporting and operational oversight across all tasks.
Support technical planning and preparation for project workshops and events.
Required Qualifications: –
– BS/BA in energy, management, an engineering discipline relevant to renewable energy, or a related field with coursework in environmental management, environmental science, engineering, sustainability, climate change, geography, or other relevant area.
– Substantive experience in more than one of the following: renewable energy regulatory and market analysis and development, public sector engagement; and capacity building, particularly for key public offices, regulatory bodies and utilities.
– Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a geographically distributed team.
